Our Story

A Foundation Built on Gratitude, Faith, Family, and Purpose

Segun and Fikunola Makinde, founders of MacPhini Foundation
The Story Behind MacPhini

A name born from a shared belief.

The name MacPhini was created in 2011 as a combination of the names of Segun and Fikunola Makinde.

It reflected a shared belief that their marriage would become a platform for service, impact, and purpose.

Today, that belief continues through the Foundation.

The parents whose sacrifice and values inspired the Foundation
The Legacy That Inspired Us

Behind every opportunity is a sacrifice.

Long before MacPhini Foundation existed, there were parents whose sacrifices created opportunities for future generations.

The values of discipline, generosity, faith, excellence, and service remain at the heart of everything we do.

Why We Chose to Act
A student struggling to remain in school
A graduate searching for direction
A retiree facing uncertainty

Over the years, we encountered the same story repeatedly.

A student struggling to remain in school.

A graduate searching for direction.

A retiree facing uncertainty.

Different circumstances. The same challenge. Potential was present. Opportunity was missing.

Our Mission

To identify and support individuals at critical life transitions through structured interventions that enable progress and long-term opportunity.

Our Vision

To build a credible and scalable platform that consistently bridges the gap between potential and access.

Our Values

The principles that guide our work.

01

Clarity

We define problems precisely and respond with structure.

Responsibility

We recognise the weight of intervention and act with discipline.

03

Integrity

05

Consistency
